My approach to this painting was to experience something free flowing in style and to do something frivolous.
Upon completion, I discovered that artistic style is deeply embedded in my soul. Rather than "free flowing' and "frivolous," my style is clean, exacting and detailed. I will leave impressions and abstracts to others!

At day's end, have you ever felt
that every synapse in your brain was fried?
After work one evening, a grueling day tending
to challenging and difficult sales situations
and overwhelming workload...
I painted exactly what I felt...
My head was burning, there was a sensation of ringing
in my ears and a sense of static energy causing
my whole head to buzz...
as though my mind was being "fried."

This painting reflects my attraction to the cool blue hues
of the coastal waters and that a tall cool glass of water
is soothing to mein the same realm.
Being a beach dweller surrounded by many different areas of water
on the beautiful gulf coast of florida inspired me to capture
a likeness of its beauty.

We grieve for the wounded and the lost,
Past freedoms no more to grace us,

Finished just a few days before Mayon Volcano erupted 02-24-00
near Legazpi Philippine.

Created out of prophetic insight in October 1999
as to the direction the stock market would take
in years ahead. Market crashed April 2001.
Thousands were deeply wounded by the Beast!

Fear, struggle, pain and injury...
Like a wounded shark, our nation laments.
Yes! 09-11-01 had an effect on all of us
and the effect is as real and revealing
as the creature in this symbolic expression.

As a realist, I set my hand to paint an impression.
When completed I got an impression from my husband.
He really liked it! He said, "It looks real!'
Back to the drawing board...

Unripened, not yet usable...
Symbolic expression of one who is maturing
into a season of abundant good fruit...
Good fruit of the trees were given to us
for the healing of the nations.
